I grew up during the  awesome  70’s and 80’s and had some awesome computers – my two favourites were the Commodore Vic 20 and Commodore 64.   My favourite was the  64 and I’m proud to say I failed my final year in school (1984)   because of  my Commodore 64!

My setup was  the 64, a monitor (non Commodore)  that worked with it, a  datasette and two 1541s. Many cartridges, disks and books. Typical setup for an 80’s nerd I think 🙂 . I went one step further and got myself an SX64 also (more on this later).

Day and night I played it,  and bought every book and magazine  I could find. There was  a lot out there.  Bought a few games  but I spent  many hours typing in programs from  my favourite magazine, Compute! I hated it when the  programs didnt work after all that typing ….

Before the internet there were BBS’s. Wow they were a lot of fun and I got to know  other people with similar interests . Its’s amazing how much fun you  can have  in an ASCII termninal!!!

Jump forward to 2019,  I hear all this talk about the  64 being re-released and I got excited. Can’t  wait to start playing  again. But for me , the mini  just wouldnt be the same thing. And then I see the Maxi  and think ohhhh that has my name on it. So I bought one! Getting back into it is so much fun – it’s like a timewarp back to the 80’s .

I threw out most of my old stuff, but I still have my  SX64, a few cartridges and books and that’s about it.

So that’s the story of this site….. I will share all the cool stuff I find  on the ‘net here and hope  you all get something out of it.

I will also share what i still have from the 80’s . Got some surprises  coming up.

Enjoy!
